Its round 5 of the BKT United Rugby Championship with another massive Interprovincial-derby at The Sportsground this Friday as we welcome Leinster.

Here’s everything you need to know ahead of Friday’s game.

When’s the game?

Kick-off at The Sportsground is at 7.35pm on Friday 14th October.

What’s the state of play so far?

Connacht come into the game on the back of an impressive win against Munster, which was the first game on the new artificial surface. The win was Connacht’s first this season in the BKT URC.

Leinster come to Galway with four wins from four. Leo Cullen’s men beat the Cell C Sharks at the weekend 54-34 which leaves them top of the table.

How’s our recent record against them?

Leinster have had the upper hand in this fixture over the last few seasons with Connacht’s last win over the Eastern province coming in the 2020/21 season.

Our last meeting at The Sportsground was in the Heineken Champions Cup last season, the first of two legs which Leinster won 26-21 in front of a packed house.

How will the two teams line up?

The Connacht management team will announce their squad at 12pm on Thursday when it will be named on connachtrugby.ie and the Connacht Rugby social channels.

How do I get tickets?

Tickets are available HERE

What channel is it on?

RTE 2 and Premier Sports will have live TV coverage while Galway Bay FM have live radio commentary.
