Ulster head coach Dan McFarland has announced his squad for his team’s Champions Cup clash with Clermont Auvergne at the Stade Marcel-Michelin tomorrow at 13 00.
The major boost to the team is that both Jordie Murphy and Marcell Coetzee have both been passed fit to play and take up their spots in the starting line-up.
In the front-three Jack McGrath and Marty Moore are either side of hooker Rob Herring, while Alan O’Connor is alongside captain Iain Henderson in the engine-room.
Sean Reidy takes up his place as blindside-flanker, with Murphy on the openside and Coetzee at No 8.
The ever-impressive John Cooney continues at scrum-half and is joined in the half-backs by Billy Burns, while Stuart McCloskey and Luke Marshall make up the midfield.
Jacob Stockdale takes his place on the left-wing, with Robert Baloucoune is on the right and Will Addison completes the starting XV from full-back.
There is plenty of talent on the bench for McFarland to call upon if needed with the likes of Kieran Treadwell, Bill Johnston and Matt Faddes among the replacements.
Ulster know that a win will see them through to the knock-out stages for the second season in a row and could seal a home quarter-final. However, they will face a hard challenge from Clermont, who will want revenge for their loss earlier in the pool stages.
