Scotland full-back Stuart Hogg may have played his last game for the Glasgow Warriors after sustaining a shoulder injury against Ireland on Saturday.

The collision which caused the injury was a late challenge by Peter O’Mahony after 15 minutes of the game but it appears to be a lot more serious than first thought.

Hogg will definitely miss the remainder of the 6 Nations, however, there are growing concerns that he has sustained a grade three tear which could cause him to be out for a large period of time.

After the game head coach Gregor Townsend spoke of the injury but didn’t seem too worried.

“We’ll see what will happen over the next few days. It was disappointing, he chipped ahead and got sandwiched between two players,” he said.

“These things happen quickly but there was a collision there that forced him to fly over and land on the point of his shoulder,”

The reality is that if he has a grade three
tear, he may require surgery which means with a move to Exeter Chiefs coming in
the summer he may have played his last game for the Warriors.

Luckily enough, Scotland have the talented opening
weekend hat-trick hero, Blair Kinghorn to step in for the rest of the
tournament.

However, we will all have to wait and see how the injury pans out, and hope that this great player is able to make it to the World Cup in Japan later this year.
