Super Rugby giants the Chiefs have announced that they will unveil a new limited edition jersey when they take on the Hurricanes this Friday.
The jersey will be unveiled at the game on Friday the 13th of March and will be worn by the team when they play the Bulls on Saturday the 4th of April.
The franchise’s club general manager Kate Shirtcliff admitted they are really excited to let fans see the kit, but didn’t reveal why exactly it is being produced.
“We’re really excited to unveil this limited edition jersey to our loyal supporters. Our club is extremely passionate about the meaning behind this particular jersey, so we’re looking forward to seeing how it is received by our fanbase. We wanted to reward our members and fans who’re coming to support us at home on Friday by giving them the first look at the new kit,” she said.
Once it is unveiled fans will have the opportunity to buy it in the stands at the game straight away or go online and order the kit after the game.
However, Chiefs’ members will be able to pre-order the jersey this Thursday before seeing it.
The Chiefs currently sit top of the New Zealand Conference in this year’s competition and will hope to continue their good form this weekend.
