Ireland have confirmed that all their players are in with a chance of featuring against Japan this Saturday despite picking up some knocks against Scotland yesterday.

Peter O’Mahony and Bundee Aki, who both left the field of play to undergo head injury assessments in the 27-3 victory, however, neither where deemed fit enough to return to the action.

However, Ireland have announced that both have now passed stage two of the HIA process and will go through stage three later today, and if they pass will be in real contention for Saturday’s game.

Elsewhere, it has been confirmed that key man Johnny Sexton suffered a knock to his thigh during the match and that is why he handed kicking duties to Conor Murray, and that his substitution was a tactical decision.

There were also fears over flanker Josh van der Flier after he picked up a knock to the head and looked to suffer from cramp late on but he is ok.

In even better news for Irish fans, star trio Joey Carbery, Keith Earls and Rob Kearney are said to all be fully fit and will be in selection contention for the game with the hosts. While it is hoped that Robbie Henshaw will be back to full training later in the week.

Ireland are moving from Yokohoma to Shizuoka via bullet train today as they step up their preparations for the weekend. It is expected that the men in green will rotate their team as they only have a six day turnaround, but whoever plays they will be looking to build on their lead at the top of Pool A and take a step closer to a quarter-final.
