England will be without centre Manu Tuilagi during their Six Nations game with Scotland on Saturday Sky Sports are reporting.
The back-liner has sustained a “low-grade groin strain” according to the report and will miss the the trip to Murrayfield as a result after picking up the injury during last weekend’s 24-17 opening round loss to France.
Tuilagi was seen leaving the field of play after just 16 minutes of that game and did not return and it is now unknown when he will be back in action.
In his absence there is a chance for probably Jonathan Joseph to start the Calcutta Cup fixture, with Henry Slade currently on the sidelines as well through injury.
England head into the game looking to take back the Calcutta Cup which has been in Scotland’s possession for the past two years following the Scots win two years’ ago and then England’s collapse last year allowing Scotland to come back from 31-0 down to eventually snatch a last-gasp 38-all draw.
Although a major loss for this weekend, England will be hoping that their key centre will be back to face Ireland come round three.
