Leinster have made it four wins from four with a marginal 3-0 victory over Zebre in Parma this evening.
In what was a strange affair it was the Irish province that clinched another win to continue their perfect start to the season.
Leinster started brilliantly and thought they were over on a couple of occasions only to be denied by the TMO and good defensive work by the home side who held up Jamison Gibson-Park on 18 minutes.
However, the away side got the opening score of the game a minute on as Ross Byrne slotted over a penalty to make it 3-0.
The men in blue had most of the possession over the remainder of the half but couldn’t make it count as they went in at half-time with a narrow 3-0 lead, leaving plenty of work to be done in the second period.
Both teams went in search of more points however, neither could put the finishing touches on their respective chances as it turned out that Byrne’s single penalty was the difference between the two teams come the final whistle.
Next up for the reigning champions is a home clash with the Dragons next Friday, while Zebre will head to Ulster for their fifth game of the campaign at the same time.
