Gloucester have announced the arrival of England hooker Jack Singleton from Saracens ahead of next season.

Singleton will join on a one-year loan deal with Saracens offloading players due to their relegation to the Championship following a breach in salary cap regulations.

✍️ | Gloucester Rugby are delighted to confirm that England international hooker Jack Singleton will be playing his club rugby in Cherry and White next season having joined on a season-long loan from Saracens.#WeAreGloucesterRugby— Gloucester Rugby (@gloucesterrugby) March 11, 2025

The 23-year-old has been behind Jamie George in both club and country duty over the past couple of seasons, but has developed into one of the best hookers in the Premiership and Gloucester’s director of rugby David Humphreys is delighted to have him sign on.

“Over the last couple of seasons, Jack has developed into an international quality rugby player and was rewarded with a place in the England World Cup squad in Japan. His ability to carry the ball, and his general set piece work, are well suited to our style of play and Jack will get an opportunity to develop his game further at Gloucester. In front row terms, he is still a young player but with significant Premiership, European and international experience, Jack’s an exciting addition to the Gloucester squad ahead of next season,” he said.

As well as earning more playing time Singleton will be hoping that he can push for a starting role in Eddie Jones’ England side with an impressive season at Gloucester.

Despite his age he has plenty of experience to bring to the table having played for Worcester Warriors between 2014 and 2019 before returning to Sarries, where he started his career and will be a good addition to the squad.
