The Ulster Rugby Medical Performance Team have issued a squad update ahead of Friday’s Guinness PRO14 opener versus Ospreys at Kingspan Stadium.

The following players are currently injured and unavailable for selection this weekend:

Marty Moore (calf)
Nick Timoney (hand)
Will Addison (hamstring)
Gareth Milasinovich (knee)
Robert Baloucoune (knee)
Marcell Coetzee (ankle)

No further information was given regarding the extent of the injuries.

Gareth Milasinovich suffered an ACL tear early in pre-season and is not expected to be back until mid 2020 while Marcell Coetzee injured his ankle on South Africa duty and has undergone surgery.

Nick Timoney injured his hand during the Glasgow pre-season fixture. Balaucoune is yet to feature in any of the warm-up games. Will Addison was named to start against Glasgow in the last pre-season fixture but was pulled as a precaution prior to kick-off due to Irish centre Robbie Henshaw picking up an injury in Japan. Ulster and Irish fans will be hoping this is a short term niggle and he will be available for selection again soon.
