Saints name cinch Player of the Month for January – Huge Rugby News

Northampton Saints’ James Ramm has been named the cinch Player of the Month for January, with the winger’s impressive performances in Black, Green and Gold throughout the month seeing him claim the overwhelming majority of the supporter vote. Northampton’s five outings across January – where Saints faced Harlequins, Exeter Chiefs and Leicester Tigers in the Gallagher Premiership, as well as Munster Rugby and Stade Rochelais in the Heineken Champions Cup – were taken into account this month.And it was 24-year-old Ramm who won some 76% of the January vote to claim back-to-back trophies (having also won the gong in December) as he edged out fellow nominees Lewis Ludlam, Alex Moon and David Ribbans.The Australian winger shone in attack for Saints’ backs, claiming a Man-of-the-Match award at Leicester and a nomination to Premiership Rugby’s Player of the Month award for his league efforts in January, as well as scoring two tries against Harlequins and another at Thomond Park.
