Injury Update with Compeed – October – Huge Rugby News

Following the weekend’s match against London Irish, Bath Rugby Head of Medical Services Rory Murray has provided a squad injury update.


Tom de Glanville
Tom’s hamstring injury will continue to be monitored with an aim of reconditioning before his return to play.

Josh McNally & GJ van Velze
Josh and GJ both dislocated their shoulders against London Irish and will seek specialist opinion.

Will Muir
Will has seen a specialist following the knee injury he sustained in training. His injury will require surgery and is season-ending.

Ben Spencer
Ben sustained a concussion against Sale Sharks. He is working with the club’s medical team with an aim to return in October.

Will Spencer
Will suffered an ankle injury against Sale Sharks and is aiming for a return at the beginning of November.

Charlie Ewels chats through his ACL injury picked up whilst away with England in the summer and the processes involved in his recovery.

He also touches on his thoughts and feelings of having the injury as well as the decision to have shoulder surgery too.

Head of Medical Services Rory Murray provides expert insight and analysis throughout the feature, discussing how the team will work with Charlie to strengthen both his knee and shoulder.
