Gloucester Rugby can confirm that flanker, Jordy Reid, will bring an end to his three year stay at Kingsholm at the conclusion of the 2022-23 season.
Reid joined the Cherry & Whites from Ealing Trailfinders ahead of the 2020-21 campaign, however, was able to make an early impact at the latter end of the 2019-20 season after COVID-19 delayed the Gallagher Premiership finale that year.
He’s gone on to make over half a century of appearances for Gloucester Rugby and leaves the club having made a significant impact in Cherry & White.
Gloucester Rugby Head Coach, George Skivington, wished Jordy all the best for his next challenge.
“We’re really grateful for what Jordy has brought to the squad in his time here, and we wish him the very best for the future. He’s an honest and hardworking bloke that has played a really important role in setting the standard for the younger guys.”
“We’re fortunate to be well-stocked in the back-row for next season with a mixture of international players and really exciting academy graduates all vying for those starting spots.”
“The nature of professional sport is that sometimes you have make really difficult decisions and you have to say goodbye to quality players and individuals, such is the case with Jordy.”
You’ll have the opportunity to say goodbye to Jordy at our final home game of the season this Saturday against Sale Sharks. Jordy will also join us live on the BiG Holm Show after the game where he will be shaving his head for the 4Ed campaign. To donate to his headshave, please click here.
If you’re at the stadium join us in the Stowford Press Clubhouse, while those watching from home can tune in on Facebook and YouTube.
