Wales Change Two for Fijian Clash – Huge Rugby News

Wales’ head coach Warren Gatland has named two changes in his team to take on Fiji in Pool D of the Rugby World Cup in Japan on Wednesday.

Both changes are in the back-row with James Davies and Ross Moriarty coming into the side that defeated the Wallabies 29-25 last Sunday.

With the duo coming into the starting line-up it means that Josh Navidi has switched from No 8 to take up a place as openside flanker.

Otherwise its as you were from the match last weekend with Wyn Jones, Ken Owens and Tomas Francis continuing in the front-row with Jack Ball partnering captain Alun Why Jones in the engine-room.

Navidi is in at openside flanker, with Davies on the blindside and Moriarty slots in at No 8 to complete the pack.

The backs have remained exactly the same with the electric Gareth Davies at scrum-half with Dan Biggar at fly-half, with Hadleigh Parkes and Jonathan Davies outside them in the centre.

Josh Adams gets another game on the left-wing, with George North on the right and Liam Williams finishes the starting XV from full-back.

Having impressed hugely against the Wallabies after coming off the bench some thought that Rhys Patchell had earned a starting spot however, he is among the replacements once more on Wednesday.

Wales know that a win here will seal a quarter-final spot for them and go a long way in their quest to finish top of the pool. However, with Gatland not making many changes between the first three games of the pool he runs the risk of picking up an injury to a player, but will be hoping that all his troops will remain fit heading into their final group match against Uruguay on Sunday.
